We've created this blog to report on our two-year mission assignment for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Paula and I have been called to serve as the Area Medical Advisor for the eleven missions in Ecuador, Colombia and Venezuela, and we'll be living in Bogota, Colombia. We enter the Provo Missionary Training Center in Provo Utah on October 10, 2011, so we have been busy packing things up for our renters, buying suits, neckties and white shirts, and generally getting things tied up for the next couple of years.
The folks who will be living here move in September 30th, the day we leave for Utah to visit family and friends.
We'll be arriving in Bogota on October 21st, so we invite you to check back in a month to see how it's going, and whether or not Paula's Spanish tutor knew what he was doing!

Dr Hendo and Paula,
What a pleasure to follow in your adventure! I wish you well in your service there and look forward to hearing more as time progresses, and to seeing more beautiful and entertaining photos. Best Wishes to you as you adjust!
